RICK KNIGHT, Principal, RBKnight Creative Services
“To arrive at the best solution, it is necessary to possess an intense drive to understand the client.”
Rick Knight is a freelance creative with over 30 years experience in graphic design; 20 years as a social documentary, event, and portrait photographer, and was working in the social media space before the term itself was coined.
Rick has led in-house teams and freelanced on-site and remotely for a variety of agencies and brands. A former Apple employee, he’s inspired by technology and its influence on human behavior.
As the in-house photographer for MKCREATIVE | media, Rick covers live events such as galas, fundraisers, and social gatherings for our nonprofit clients. Having spend years working as an event photographer and also bringing his signature candid photography style to projects, Rick’s photographs standout not only in terms of composition and the use of color, but also in how Rick approaches color grading and re-framing his shots before delivering the “Selects” to our clients.
Rick often works in partnership with MKCREATIVE | media and public relations firm LCG Communications in New York City. In his role as social media manager, Rick combines his graphic design and photography talents with his deep knowledge of social media marketing. He has created content for charitable organizations, non-profits, and cause campaigns. Rick has written and managed tweeting campaigns for celebrities such as Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo (so, the Hulk and, you know, the Hulk), Susan Sarandon, John Leguizamo, and Private Joker himself, Matthew Modine.
Rick actively supports and promotes the arts, currently stirring up interest in a proposed arts district in Youngstown, Ohio. Previously, Rick provided social media and marketing support to fine artists and galleries in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe for nearly ten years.
